    There are many misconceptions about video games today , some would argue that there is no good that comes from playing them and it's a complete waste of time and is non productive and you really can't make a living off doing it .Others would argue that you don't learn anything from playing them and it takes away the time you could have used expanding your brain. Another misconceptions is that video games make you violent and are the causes of many violent acts which in reality this is not the case whatsoever.

    There are many benefits that come from playing videos games , some of which many would be surprised by. One of which is that gaming actually good for the brain as it helps with memory , improvement of attention span and concentration and increases the brain's speed. According to a 2015 study in the journal of neuroscience , a research was conducted in the university of california were a large of number of students participated were chosen as one half played super mario 3d world and the others played angry birds. The study had shown that playing the super mario 3d worlds was actually very stimulating for the brain.

    Another benefit of video games is that it builds really great social skills and actually calms a lot of players down. Video games have become a way of interacting with lots people , especially in the online gaming world where you play people from all over the world,allowing you to play and meet some interesting individuals. Thus building these socials skills will also help you in the workplace as well. Video games can also relieve a lot of tension some people may have , relieve stress and anxiety , which actually debunks the theory of video games causing individuals to become violent. Video games are not only entertaining but can actually help you in life in the long run .
